We wrote parodies of fairy tales. This is Sophie's superbly titled piece.

Awake Ugly

by Sophie, aged 8

Once upon a time long ago there was a very ugly princess with big warts and messy hair.

She was awake and no one could make her fall asleep.

One day an ugly prince with black and white hair and freckles wanted to make Awake Ugly fall asleep.

So he went to Awake Ugly, he bent down and slapped her on the cheek.

She then fell asleep and lived sleepily ever after.
