Pola was in a Year 2 writing group at Annandale North Public School in 2005. As all members of this group were in reading group RO4, they decided to name themselves the RO4 Champions.

The Pirate Ship Poem

There once was a pirate ship which sailed the seas,
the main mast as high as the sky.
There was a combustion involving the captain
and only the cat survived.

He swam to the shore and lay on the beach
and felt he was going to die.
But he managed to live under a bridge
for the rest of his life.
